PELATIHAN KETERAMPILAN JUMPUTAN UNTUK CINDERAMATA SEBAGAI UPAYA PEMBERDAYAAN IBU RUMAH TANGGA DI NGASEM, GUNUNGKIDUL

Abstract

This training program was conducted as community empowerment in the form of batik and jumputan technique training at Ngasem, Tepus, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. The tourism sector in Gunungkidul has rapidly increased the opportunities of the creative industries. The resulting product is a souvenir that improve the productivity of the community precisely the housewives and can help regional economic independence. The methods are field observation field, coordination with local communities, preparation, program implementation, and evaluation programs. The results of batik skills training and jumputan can develop the productivity of housewives at Indrayanti beach for local souvenir innovations that are easy to produce and participate in improving small and medium business community of Dusun Ngasem, Tepus, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. In addition, it provides a business alternative for Indrayanti beach community by displaying local cultural heritage through batik and jumputan that identical with Gunungkidul.
