APLIKASI “PLASTAKE” UNTUK DAUR ULANG YANG EFEKTIF

Abstract
Nowadays, most of Indonesian people use plastic products in their daily lives. This has contributed to the increase in plastic waste generation which has increased over time. Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) is a province with 3,882,288 million people who produce 600 tons of waste every day. Waste originating from the cities of Yogyakarta, Sleman and Bantul is distributed to Piyungan Integrated Waste Processing Site (TPST). Based on previous studies, the composition of Piyungan TPST waste is dominated by organic waste by 277.37 tons/day, plastic waste by 166.09 tons/day, paper waste by 111.97 tons/day (DIY, 2017). Based on this fact, it is necessary to make a plastic waste treatment to reduce the generation of plastic waste by recycling. The recycling process that is applied is the process of changing plastic waste into chopped plastic which is an economic value raw material so as to realize the concept of circular economy. The plastic waste recycling business is also a form of responsible use of plastic. The use of the internet at this time, as a source of information and facilitate access to mobilization among the public. Therefore, in streamlining the waste sorting process, sorting is done at the source in the producer by using a plastic waste collection application. This application makes it easy for people producing waste to collect plastic waste without having to transport. In addition, this selected technology can result in a reduction in plastic waste at Piyungan TPST by 11.74%.
