Abstract

At present, Indonesia is the biggest contributor to plastic waste after China. In 2016, Indonesia can produce as much as 65.200.000 tons of waste and is predicted to increase along with the population growth. However, the recent various solutions could not completely resolve this problem. The use of sanitary landfills required so much money, and there's no platform for integrated environmental information systems yet, heaps of organic waste also caused an unpleasant odor and diseases in the TPS3R solution. Traceable Waste System is a long-term innovative management for organic and inorganic waste. The functions of this system is to track, control, and manage the waste problem. This system has an obligation policy to return the waste of branded packaging products that use the barcode system, and then it will be integrated with the waste bank through an online application. Meanwhile, the waste bank act as a recipient, distributor, and manager of the waste. Organic waste will further be processed by the gasification process and Black Soldier Flies (BSF), resulting a product that has high economic value. The purpose of this system is to convert waste that is often considered as useless and neglected items into goods that have high economic value and also indirectly acted as an alternative payment method.
