Abstract

Indonesia has great potential to utilize coffee as a tourism attraction considering that coffee consumption in Indonesia has increased 44% over the past 10 years. One of the best coffee producing regions is the Special Region of Aceh where Gayo coffee from Aceh is often named the best arabica in the world. However, the potential for coffee has not been optimally utilized as Aceh coffee farmers are only able to sell raw coffee beans at low prices. Sadly, Aceh is the poorest province in Sumatra where this is not comparable to the great potential that Aceh has, one of which is coffee. This paper seeks to explore the potential for coffee tourism in Aceh and tries to find the problems that cause not optimal utilization of the potential of coffee in Aceh. The author uses a descriptive analytical method with literature study. To solve this problem, the authors propose an idea in the form of a tourism application "Kopi-Land". The “Kopi-Land” application is a mobile tourism-based application that provides coffee tourism services for tourists to introduce coffee tourism areas, transportation access, coffee tourism locations with contemporary photo views, various coffee products in Aceh, and shops or cafes that sell products. - coffee products. The unique thing about this application is that there is a challenge to visit various coffee tourist attractions and rewards for users who complete the challenge. This application is expected to increase Aceh GDP region as much as 45 billion rupiah in 2024.
