OPTIMASI PENCAHAYAAN UNTUK MENGURANGI STRES DALAM PEKERJAAN KOGNITIF TINGGI DENGAN MENINJAU KASUS INDIVIDU EKSTROVERT DAN INTROVERT
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research was conducted based on work-related stress during cognitive tasks and the difference between how introverts and extroverts’ process stimuli differently, especially visual stimuli. Work-related stress can be induced by the lighting condition and therefore, this research aims to understand the effect of the lighting condition on cognitive performance and stress response, and to understand the optimal lighting condition for introverts and extroverts during high cognitive tasks. The method used was an experiment paired with a questionnaire to collect participant’s extraversion score using Big Five Test. In the experiment, cognitive performance was measured using the Kraepelin Test while the stress response was measured using smartwatches. 26 samples used and divided into strata 50% extroverts and strata 50% introverts. The data analysis shows that there is an effect of lighting conditions on cognitive performance and stress response, however the effect affects introverts and extroverts differently. While the optimal lighting conditions for extroverts and introverts are bright light and medium light consecutively.
