TRIKS NGODE (TRAINING SKILLS WPAPER OF KAMPUNG CODE) SEBAGAI INOVASI SOUVENIR KHAS KAMPUNG CODE DEMI MEWUJUDKAN MASYARAKAT YANG MANDIRI

Abstract

Kampung Code is a settlement in Yogyakarta, precisely in the riverbank area of Code river, under Gondolayu bridge. The changes of Kampung Code are an initiative of Father Mangun, so this village has its own uniqueness, the color of the house in Kampung Code painted with various color combinations. Inspired from the homes of the Favela area of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the Roman Catholic Church of Yogyakarta with the coordinator of Pleweh Sartono changed the face of Kampung Code to become more interesting and unique. Despite its tourism potential, Kampung Code has several problems. Poverty rates are increasing in line with the difficulty of giving APBD funds from the government because the majority of Kampung Code residents do not have residence certificates. By using qualitative method, namely literature review, online journal and literature, the authors give an idea, that is TRIKS NGODE (Training Skills WPAPer Of Kampung Code) as a unique souvenir innovation of Kampung Code for the sake of realizing an independent society. WPAP or Wedha's Pop Art Potrait is an art style popularized by Wedha Abdul Rasyid. WPAP has a great synchronization with Kampung Code which is famous for its colorful buildings. Therefore, with WPAP training for the community especially productive age unemployed, this training can be a solution to gain life skills. Besides, the result can be a selling point. The society can do marketing by making TRIKS NGODE as a typical souvenir of Kampung Code for tourists.
