THE MICIN (MIRACLE OF DUSTBIN) INOVASI TEKNIK PENGOLAHAN SAMPAH MENJADI ENERGI BIOMASSA DENGAN METODE GASIFIKASI PLASMA SEBAGAI SOLUSI ALTERNATIF PERMASALAHAN LINGKUNGAN PANTAI TRISIK

Abstract

Waste problems can be catastrophic for humans. As the population increases, the amount of waste production will increase. If the community doesn’t have the ability to process waste, it will cause social problems. That condition is currently happening in Trisik Beach, Sidorejo, Banaran, Galur, Kulon Progo, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. One way to overcome this is that new innovations are needed. Therefore, we give the innovation The MICIN (Miracle of Dustbin), which is a magic trash-based gasification plasma as a waste disposal and processing waste into biomass energy. Gasification is process of converting solid fuel into combustible gas (CO, CH₄, and H₂) through a combustion process with a limited air supply of 20 – 40% (stoichiometric air). There are three stages of reaction in the process of gasification namely Thermal Cracking, the process of decomposition of molecules into gases so as to produce light hydrocarbons. The second reaction is partial oxidation producing CO₂ and H₂O. The third reaction is the reforming which is a combination of the reactions that take place. This stage will produce high pressure water vapor which is then used to drive the turbine. Furthermore, through an electric generator will be converted into electrical energy known as biomass energy. Making The MICIN (Miracle of Dustbin) is expected to be the main alternative in solving social problems in Trisik beach, so that will have a major impact on the change of mindset of the community to become more independent by exploiting the existing potential.
